According to the statistics of Japan Customs, Japan’s ferroalloy export volume was 15260 mt in September of 2014, down by 4.9% M-O-M and down by 25.6% Y-O-Y. The total export volume in Jan-Sep of 2014 was 180437 mt, up by 11.6% Y-O-Y.

According to statistic of Japan Customs, Japan imported 173.4 tons of calcium carbide, down by 28.4% M-O-M and down by 33.1% Y-O-Y. The materials were mainly imported from China with import volume at 132 tons.

According to the statistic, Chinese calcium carbide production was 2.116 million tons in September 2014, slightly down by 0.61% M-O-M and up by 4.4% Y-O-Y. In Jan-Sep, 2014, total production was 18.416 million tons, up by 10.8% Y-O-Y.

Q1-Q3 Exports of Chinese Ferrosilicon Surpassed the Total of 2013

According to statistic National Bureau of Statistic of China, Chinese ferroalloy production in September was 3.2565 million tons, up by 6% M-O-M and up by 1.3% Y-O-Y. And the production was totally 27.905 million tons in Jan-Sep of 2014, up by 6.9% Y-O-Y.

According to the latest Customs statistic, China exported 53,224 tons of ferroalloys in September 2014, dropping down by 6.8% M-o-M but violently up by 62.8% Y-O-Y. The exported materials included 43,781 tons of ferrosilicon.
