Broken down by districts, here’s production for the week ending April 17, 2021 in thousands of net tons: North East: 164; Great Lakes: 603; Midwest: 183; Southern: 747 and Western: 73 for a total of 1770.

World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 169.2 million tonnes (Mt) in March 2021, a 15.2% increase compared to March 2020.

Adjusted year-to-date production through April 3, 2021 was 23,172,000 net tons, at a capability utilization rate of 77.0 percent.

World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 150.2 million tonnes (Mt) in February 2021.

Adjusted year-to-date production through March 20, 2021 was 19,626,000 net tons, at a capability utilization rate of 76.8 percent.
