Nickel and palladium producer Norilsk Nickel (NILSY.PK) Monday said it will sell its operations in Africa, to BCL Ltd., for $337 million in cash. This transaction marks the firm's full exit from its African business, as well as from its international operations. The assets for sale include Nickel's 50 percent participation interest in the Nkomati Nickel and Chrome Mine, and its 85 percent stake in Tati Nickel Mining Co, in Botswana. In addition, the company said BCL will assume all attributable outstanding debt and environmental and rehabilitation liabilities associated with each asset.
