[Ferro-Alloys.com] According to Mexican government that it would impose anti-dumping duties on cold rolled steel sheet imported from China after the investigation.
Altos Hornos de Mexico, one of the Mexican companies led to the investigation complained earlier this month that the government’s efforts had been slow and insufficient which encouraged growth of imports of steel products at dumping prices.
The government said in its official gazette that it has placed tariffs of 65.99% on imports from Baoshan Iron & Steel Co Ltd and 82.08% on those from Tangshan Iron and Steel Group Co Ltd, and it would impose a 103.41% of duty against the imports from Beijing Shougang Cold Rolling Co, Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co and all other export companies.
Earlier this month, the country imposed provisional import duties on hot rolled steel from Germany, China and France.
