Vietnam’s Steel Imports Raise in 2015

[Fellow]Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) has announced in 2015, Vietnam imported 13.7 million tons of steel products, an increase of 22.56% year on year, including more than 1.78 million tons of billet, an increase of 198% year on year.

Those for rolled steel and steel wire imports are more than 1.62 million tons, while the domestic rolled steel production is only for 1.13 million tons.
 
In 2015, Vietnam imported more than 8.4 million tons of steel imports from China, an increase of 57% year on year, accounted for Vietnam 60% of total imported steel.
