It is reported that global steel production has dropped by 7.1% to 128 million tons in January 2016, compared to the same period of last year. This was the highest single month dropping rate in recent years.
	
	Among the, India’s steel production has also dropped by 1.2% in January 2016 compared to a year ago. China's crude steel production also dropped 7.8% in January 2016 compared to the same period of last year.
	
	South Korea's steel production was lower by 4.5% in January 2016 compared to January 2015. In the EU, Germany’s crude steel production dropped 2% in January 2016 compared to the same period of last year.
