[ferro-alloys.com]  Part steel mills in Tangshan were required to cut operation of their shaft furnaces and sintering machines from Wednesday August 8 to Thursday August 9. And the steel mills were required to limit operations from July 20 to August 31 for the city’s current pollution improvement effort.

The city government imposed the requirement because poor weather conditions hindered the dispersion of air pollutants. The affected areas include Guye, Kaiping, Fengnan, Lubeidistricts, Luan county and the Qian’an area.
