[Ferro-Alloys.com] China’s spot 300-series stainless steel prices rose on tight supply as mills control their deliveries to the market.

Benchmark 304 cold rolled coil was trading at 14,900-15,000 yuan ($2,414-2,430) per tonne in China’s major Wuxi market on Thursday July 18, up 100 yuan per tonne from a week ago. “This round of price rises is not driven by demand in the sector, but by tight supply in the market,” a Wuxi-based distributor said.
